Here is Dorit’s message to MobPolis:
Dear Members of MobPoli,
My name is Dorit Happ, I am happy to introduce myself to you. Starting from March 21st till May 12th 2017 I will be a visiting researcher at the Institute of European, Russian and Eurasian Studies (EURUS) under the supervision of Prof Martin Geiger at Carleton University.
At the moment I am a researcher at the Leibniz Institute for Regional Geography in Leipzig/Germany. My PhD deals with various aspects of the integration of refugees and asylum seekers in Belarus and Ukraine and the role UNHCR and the EU play in this process as external governance actors.
So far I spend most of my professional life in Eastern Europe, therefore it will be great to explore the Carleton University, Ottawa and beyond.
I am very looking forward to meeting, discussing and working with you. Please don’t hesitate to contact me: email@example.com
See you very soon,
Dorit is also one of the panelists and a speaker at the upcoming International Research workshop on March 31, 2017. She will speak at the “Organizations in Migration Politics and World Society: Concepts, Methodologies, Stories from the Field” panel and will also give a talk on “The UNHCR in Refugee Integration. External Governance and its Effects: Belarus and Ukraine”.
