Estelle’s PhD thesis questions the feminization of labor migrations in Laos and the development of domestic policies against the trafficking of women. Drawing on anthropology of humanitarian aid, sociology of migrations, development and intersectionality, she conducted ethnographies of Lao female migrants involved in factory and sex work and within shelters for women identified as victims of human trafficking. As a member of the Network University Without Borders in Paris, she is involved in social movements for undocumented students and migrants in France.
