Laura is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) and Child and Youth Counsellor (CYC). She works with refugee claimants in Canada, and assists with other immigration applications including: humanitarian and compassionate applications, pre-removal risk assessments, and family sponsorships.
Academically, Laura’s dissertation is exploring the possibility of establishing private sponsorship programs for refugees in Europe. Her other research interests include: statelessness and nationality law, and gender and age within the refugee context.
Laura also writes a monthly blog for STAND Canada, an organization that advocates to make the preventing and ending of genocide a cornerstone of Canadian foreign policy.
