Thibaut Jaulin holds a PhD in Political Science from the University Paul Cezanne (Aix-en-Provence) (2009). He was an associate researcher at Institut français du Proche Orient (Beirut) (2002-2006), a Research fellow at the European University Institute (Florence) (20010-2013), and a Marie Curie fellow at the CERI/Sciences Po (2013-2015). His research interests include the history and political sociology of the MENA region as well international migration and migration policies in labour sending and labour receiving countries, and migrants’ transnational practices, with a focus on external voting. His publications include peer-reviewed articles in French and English (REMI, REMMM, Histoire & Mesure, Comparative Migration Studies, MELG) as well as book chapters, research reports, and policy briefs. He teaches undergraduate introductions to World politics and International migration at Sciences Po, and he intervenes regularly in the media on migration issues.
